The first one of the year was Sunday, Sept 16th. We definitely brought it up a notch with the addition of Element Systems to the equation. It was off the hook. We had 2 sound areas and I think 12?.13? djs... fire spinners ...live performances...it was a pretty packed house, but not uncomfortably so.
If you missed it, don't miss the next one, Sunday, October 21, 2007. Doors open at 9pm, music will start shutting down at 2pm, but as usual, we will keep it going on till around 3pm as we pull down decorations / load the trucks etc.
Hope to see you there.
And when summer rolls around again...
All summer long on Sundays from noonish to 9pm...if the weather is good, and we can find a nice outdoor location.. Free Outdoor Parties with a thumping sound system. Come out and enjoy the day!
if you feel like helping pay for the for the setup costs (160 per sunset (120 for the main picnic area, 20 for sound permit, 20 for the gas guzzler) give Dan money and you will help more parties happen .. Bring your own everything; Blankets to sit on, coolers with drinks, etc. Kids are welcome, as well as dogs if they are on a leash
Music selection is sort of an electronica grab bag. We don't announce what dj's are playing, as this is not a publicised event (it is however open to all..and its a gem of a find if its your thing) ;P Selections include house, dnb, jungle, trance, psytrance, downtempo, breakbeats, essentially, if it has good energy, expect to hear it. DJ's play for free, 1 hour(ish) sets. Sometimes 40 mins. The sound system is there for free.
This is a fun family occasion for us all to unite and celebrate as the sun passes over the horizon.
remaining dates at emma long remaining for 2007
August 19th
want more dates? if you can afford to drop 150 bux on it, let me know.
We will likely do some more parties at another location if we can find a good one. Emma long is going to be hard to beat.. If you have a nice outdoorsy place where we can thump the bass and not get in trouble with the man, let me (Endorphin) know.
